Trump Accounts

The federal government is seeding a new investment account with $1,000 for every American child born between 2025 and 2028. The account is in your child’s name. You manage it until they turn 18. Contributions are tax-deferred and grow in low-cost index funds.

This is not a savings bond. This is a real investment account that families can contribute up to $5,000 a year into. Accounts launch July 5, 2026. You enroll by filing IRS Form 4547.
