The Sanctification Series · Module 1 of 6

Why Most Agents Lose Themselves in the First 18 Months

You came to this work for one reason. Then the comp grid showed up. Then the script. And the reason you came got smaller every quarter.

Most agents in this industry quit. Not always because they could not produce. Many quit because the gap between why they entered the industry and what the industry asked them to do became too heavy to carry.

This is the conversation most agencies never have at the beginning. They talk about comp, carriers, and lead flow. They often do not ask why the agent got licensed in the first place.

There are two ways to do this work

A licensed sales professional

Knows the products, manages the funnel, and defines success by quarterly production. The household becomes a case and the case becomes a number.

A licensed steward

Knows the products and knows the household. Sees the case as one moment in a family’s stewardship arc. Production follows the education.

The three truths

1. A policy is a covenant, not a product.

A household is entering a promise that another party will perform when the household cannot. The agent explains that promise.

2. Education is the work. Placement is the receipt.

The close becomes cleaner when the household understands what is being protected, transferred, or administered.

3. The household decides. The agent illuminates.

Agents who illuminate patiently build trust that pressure can never produce.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6 KJV

That verse is the founding verse of Zoe Academy. It applies to the families we serve and to the agents who serve them.
